The Seasons Will Change: A Gentle Reminder from Nature

Nature truly is remarkable—it gives so selflessly, asking for nothing in return. It offers quiet moments of healing, gentle reminders that no season lasts forever.
Yesterday, the sun was shining, and I decided to take the kids to the zoo. As we walked, something caught my eye—the trees, once bare and lifeless just last week, now had fresh green leaves sprouting from their branches. It was a small change, one that might have gone unnoticed in the busyness of the day, but for me, it was an invitation to pause. To breathe. To reflect.
Winter doesn’t last forever. Even when it feels endless—even when the days are heavy and hope seems distant—new life is always waiting to emerge. That moment in nature, with the warmth of the sun on my skin and the sight of fresh growth above me, reminded me that the hard seasons eventually give way to something softer, something new.
And I needed that reminder. Yesterday. Today.
This season of motherhood has been relentless—a storm of exhaustion, sleepless nights, broken bones, specialist appointments, complicated medical issues, and a schedule that never seems to slow down. It has felt like a darkness that refuses to lift, a weight pressing down, making it hard to find moments of stillness.
But standing there, taking in the simple beauty of those budding leaves, I felt something stir within me. A breath of fresh air. A quiet reassurance that even in the thick of this season, change is happening. Growth is unfolding, even if I can’t always see it.
The sleepless nights will still come. The challenges aren’t going anywhere. But just as the trees will continue to bloom, so will I. So will this journey.
And for today, that’s enough.
